Odore Product Test Case

Summarise the data above in your own words from Odore.

How would you present this information to internal stakeholders?

Q1. Why did you pick us over a competitor?

In presenting this data to stakeholders, I’d kick off by stepping back and looking at our company vision and significant goals for this year. For example, let’s say our primary objective is to increase the # of active users – I’d remind the stakeholders of this. Then I’d talk through how we’re standing out alongside competitors because our Support Team is doing a fantastic job documenting, resolving tickets quickly, and ensuring there’s a human response for every inquiry.

After measuring the top reason our users choose us, it all leads back to our Support Team, with 32% of our users calling out the principal reason for using our product. Outside of Support, our users say that our Price and Usability are reasonable, and our most significant opportunity right now is to hone in on our feature set and capabilities.

Here’s a breakdown:

  1. Support team is doing great with the 32%
  2. Price is acceptable with 27%
  3. Usability is good with the 25%

4 We need to add features in order to grow 17%

Q2. Which of the following features do you like the most on the platform:

Moving into our feature set today and what features our users enjoyed and found value in using, we have found that creating campaigns is our most liked feature at 38% across all users.

Are actions and value of creating campaigns on track with our larger business goals?

Are we happy with this result, or were we expecting a different feature to be on top?

Outside of this feature, we also noticed that <25 % of our users like our other features such as the drag and drop builder, viewing real-time data, and data segmentation. This doesn’t mean that these features aren’t providing enough value, but I recommend we dig deeper by running user interviews or surveys with our users who rated these features lower on the scale to understand what can be improved.

Here’s a breakdown

1 Creating Campaigns 38%

2 Drag and Drop Builder 24%

3 Viewing Real-Time Data 20%

4 Data Segmentation 18%

Q3. What integration would you like to see next on the platform?

We also asked our user base which integration they’d like to see built next on our platform. We received a clear signal to build the TikTok feature next, which aligns with market research I ran calling that in 2020 TikTok had 315 million downloads!

It’s clear that our primary market is utilizing TikTok, and we can start working with Engineering and our Growth Teams to expand our requirements for this integration.

Outside of TikTok, we did see other platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, and Snapchat come in, with less than 25% of users requesting integrations. We should still explore these integrations, but these are lower priorities.

TikTok will be our top priority and subsequent integration.

Here’s a breakdown:

1 Tik Tok 40%

  1. Klaviyo 22%
  2. Shopify 20%
  3. Snapchat 18%

Q4. How likely are you to recommend our product to your known ones? (1-10)

As we know, recommendations are the highest compliment! And it also means that we’re on the right track and providing clear value.

We tracked that the majority of our users are highly likely to recommend our product to their friends and family. Our goal will be to keep this number high, and we can do so by ensuring our Support is positive to our users.

Q5. How would you feel if you could no longer use Odore?

Lastly, we gauged our product-market fit by asking our users.

Ideally, for this type of survey, we are looking for 40% or more for the “very disappointed” result, which means that our product has reached or is nearing true product-market fit.

Anything below this percentage means there’s work to do.

We did score 22% for being very disappointed, so we do have some way to go to reach 40%.

The great news is that we had over 50% of users say they’d be “somewhat disappointed,” so by working on the opportunities mentioned in this meeting along with strong user research and market research, we’re confident we can start tracking towards a 40% by the end of the year.

If you’d like to dig deeper into specifics, here’s a breakdown, and this will be shared in our meeting notes:

  1. Somewhat disappointed 52%
  2. Not Disappointed 26%
  3. Very Disappointed 22%

Go through the application and suggest new features in priority order

Select a high priority feature (pick one of the integrations above in Q3)

Klaviyo 22%

Shopify 20%

Tik Tok 40%

Snapchat 18%

Why have you chosen this feature and how would you implement it? (Effort vs Impact)

I will choose Klaviyo and Shopify first.

These two USEParagon Embedded Integration are easy, safe, and secure, saving much time for the developers traduced in money savings and customer satisfaction.

On the other hand, Tik Tok and Snapchat will offer a massive challenge to the developer’s team. Therefore, we need to evaluate team capabilities and analyze if we can not just deliver but keep technical debt, security, and optimally running time.

Secondly, we can think of a Plan B where We can explore the possibility of implementing TIK TOK and Snapchat using an embedded integration USEPARAGON Custom Integrations feature. Or a new option like TyK?

I tried to contact Useparagon customer service regarding Tik Tok and Snapchat, but sadly they did not reply to my emails until 03/01/2022 Christmas holiday break.

How would you describe this task to the technical team?

I will propose and describe the task using a Product requirement Document – PRD to the rest of the team.

What would be the MVP of that feature?

I will arrange a meeting with the team and propose the Concierge MVP.

The idea is to simplify the product by replacing automated components with humans.

We create the integration manually, solving the customer’s problems while collecting feedback and analyzing data to understand our target audience’s needs before releasing the full integration.

The advantage with the Concierge MVP is that we are directly in touch with our early customers and can get to know our customers while we are validating our new feature idea. In this way, we can use this information to pivot the concept and redefine the MVP feature to better fit. However, it is not a long-term option; This is just a short-term solution that will help us learn how to solve customers’ problems.

How would you measure its success?

Engagement: can be measured by sessions or time on page

Retention: can be measured by users that come back during the following period
